Spring news from the architects desk

Year 2018 has started busy for the office as we have been designing many intesesting and versatile new projects.

Besides several housing projects we have on our desks for example a parish union building to be converted to a kindergarten, preliminery studies for a multipurpose sportshall and several diverse renovation projects.

Architect Kari Leppänen was issued by the building certification service FISE the highest degree as building and main designer for new buildings and renovations. Additionally Kari Leppänen has been appointed by the Finnish Assosiation of Architects SAFA as a member of the Building Information Foundation RTS working group to renew the elevator standards in Finland.

At the beginning of the year the office took part to BIM training organised by MAD. We are now implementing the latest BIM knowledge to the new housing projects which are under the design stage.

In between the busy working days the office arranged the first invitational basketball tournament for architecture offices ever held in Finland. The participated offices besides Kari Leppänen Architects were ALA Architects and JKMM Architects.

I wish you all sunny and warm spring days!

Kari
