Dansan factory-visit in Denmark

Our Interior Architect Anna was visiting Dansan’s factory in Denmark as a quest of Laattapiste.

he trip-hosts Kristiina Klenberg, Mervi Wallasvaara, Pia Käyhkö and Seija Aalto introduced quests to the Dansan furniture-factory in Hederslev and a trip to Lego House in Billund was also on the list.

On Wednesday the trip started as 20 Laattapiste-quests flew via Stockholm to Billund. The accommodation was at Tyrstrup Kro – a country-style hotel in the middle of the fields. There they had dinner and got ready for the factory-visit the next day.

On Thursday was the Dansan factory-visit where quests were introduced to the company. Rasmus Kjær, Dansan’s furniture-designer presented products and new design visions at the showroom. For example, bathrooms are going to be even more individual and personal for the user, as at Dansan they follow the motto “Create your own space”.

The quests were also introduced to the operation of the factory and manufacturing of products.

At the end of the visit Seija Aalto presented Laattapiste’s services for residental construction and  features of a well-functioning bathroom.

Later in the evening quests enjoyed dinner and visited the hotel’s own wine cellar.

On Friday quests made a trip to Lego House Billund. The building-complex looked like a pile of Legos from the outside and in the inside almost everything was built with them.

After the visit it was time to have lunch and eventually head back home.

We would like to thank Laattapiste and Dansan for this great experience and inspiration for future projects!
